This policy covers belkcustombuilders.com. It describes what this website collects, what we do with it, who else can see it, and how to get a copy or have it deleted. It is written to match what the site actually does, not a template.
Who we are

What this site collects
There is one form on this website. It is the only place the site asks you for anything, and it appears on the contact page, the free-estimate page, and on the service and information pages where a homeowner is most likely to want a price.
What the form asks for
- Your name, and your email address. Both are required, because we cannot reply without them.
- Your phone number, if you give it. Most homeowners would rather we called.
- The address of the property, if you give it. We use it to work out whether the job is in our service area and to plan the visit.
- Which trades you want quoted: siding, windows, roofing, trim and so on.
- Your description of the project.
What the site records without asking
- Your IP address is stored with your inquiry. It is used to rate-limit the form so it cannot be abused by bots, and it is not used to track you around the site.
- The form carries a hidden field that only an automated script would fill in. If it is filled in, the submission is discarded.
There are no user accounts, no logins and no comments on this site, so there is nothing to register for and no profile held about you. The form has no file upload, so there is nowhere on this site to send us a document or a photograph. Email one to [email protected] if you want us to see it.
Where what you send goes
When you submit the form, three things happen:
- The inquiry is saved to this website's own database, on the server that runs the site.
- It is emailed to [email protected], so the owner sees it. The email is delivered through SendGrid, an email service that handles the message in transit.
- It is passed to Idea Forge Studios LLC, who built and maintain this website, so the inquiry appears in the dashboard Belk uses to track jobs.
That is the whole list. Your inquiry is not sold, rented, or handed to anyone advertising to you.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own. It has nothing to remember about you between visits, so it does not try to.
Two things can still put a cookie in your browser on a page you open here:
- Cloudflare, which sits in front of this site to serve it quickly and block attacks, may set a cookie to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic.
- The pages that carry a video use YouTube's no-cookie player, which is the version that does not set advertising cookies unless you press play. Pressing play means YouTube can see that you watched it, on YouTube's terms rather than ours.
Other companies involved in showing you this page
Loading any web page tells the servers that hold its pieces your IP address. For this site those are:
- Cloudflare, which delivers the site.
- Google Fonts, which serves the one typeface the site uses.
- YouTube, but only on the two pages that carry a video, and only through its no-cookie player.
Everything else on the page, every photograph and every stylesheet, is served from this site's own server.
Analytics and advertising
This site is not running an analytics or advertising tag at the time of writing. It is built to accept one, and if Belk turns one on, the company behind that tag (for example Google Analytics) would then receive the pages you visit. This page will say so when that happens.
How long we keep it
Your inquiry is kept for as long as it is useful to the job it is about: answering you, quoting the work, and having a record of what was agreed. Ask us to delete it and we will.
Your choices
Email [email protected] or call 704-400-4710 and you can ask us to:
- send you a copy of the inquiry we hold from you
- correct anything in it that is wrong
- delete it
Say which email address or phone number you used and we will find it. We do not charge for any of this.
Children
This site is for homeowners arranging work on a house. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes to this policy
If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too.
